This set includeds 15 Actions - 8 Artistic Effects Actions and 7 Finessing Actions for your convenience. The set also includes a Canson paper pattern file to load into the patterns presets library. Also included is a Canson paper pattern.psd file to source from the Filter>Texture>Texturizer command.

Mama's Sketch & Paintbox includes 15 separate actions to assist and inspire the "artist" in you to produce beautiful simulations of various types of traditional mediums and combination of mediums. Mama's Pencil Sketch is the foundation action, that works amazingly well in combination with the other actions in the set to give the user artistic license in producing a variety of stunning pieces.

The actions leave the editable layers intact which allow you to go back and fine tune the effects. Turning various layers and/or Groups visibility on/off is part of the formula to create a self-contained master file storing a variety of artistic renditions of the original photograph.

You don't have to be a traditional artist to increase your sales by offering a "tradigital" service to your clients. The effects are a wonderful addition for printing in albums, cards, canvas, art paper, or Web graphics.

1: Mama's Pencil Sketch Action - Run this art effect action on an RGB image to produce the Mama's Sketch Group, which is also the foundation for additional actions and techniques in this pack. Instructional dialog boxes are built into the action to guide you on the necessary interactivity required to produce the optimum results.
Besides creating the foundation sketch group, this action creates another group called Mama's Colors Group, which contains a formulated blend of the original colors. This Groups visibility is OFF by default, as it is something you go back to, to edit, after running subsequent Actions in the set. In combination with the underlying layers this produces some lovely illustrative versions of the image.

5: Mama's Charcoal Chalk Action - Interactive art effect action allows you to dial in how dark or light you want the charcoal chalk effect. Creates it's own layer with this effect applied to image.

6: Mama's Paintboxes Action - This interactive art effect action creates a Group containing the "paintboxes," 14 preset color layers with black masks. Setting this up will expedite and facilitate the procedure of hand tinting or colorizing areas of an image. Painting with white on a selected layer reveals that color in the image window, painting with black conceals it. 8:36 min
7: Mama's Canson Texture Overlay Action - Mama's Canson Texture Overlay art effect Action produces a paper texture almost identical to Canson Paper. Canson Paper is a choice paper for traditional pastel drawings. The texture pattern scale can be easily edited.

8: Paper Color Action - The Paper Color art effect Action produces a color overlay layer which allows you to choose the Hue of your "digital" paper.

9: Fill Current Mask with Black - Finessing Action. Fills the highlighted Mask with black to conceal the effect. See #15

14: Gaussian Blur - Finessing Action. Just an action of convenience to click to quickly get the Gaussian Blur, which is frequently used in conjunction with my actions and workflow, to soften the mask edge or to blur a pixel layer.
