TIP #S 1, 2, & 3 COMIC ART
In Part 1 of this series, you will learn how to create a Photoshop® Action that will lay the foundation of layers and effects to convert a photo into comic art. You know what I mean--that type of art with reduced color, black outlines and halftone dots. In Part 2 you will learn how to delete multiple layers, edit your action, test it and save it to a safe location. Part 3 will guide you through fine tuning your comic art effect. You will solidify the colors on the "Fill with color" layer, utilizing the paintbrush and paintbucket tools along with their options. You will also mask the lineart layer to allow the underlying colors to show through in selected areas. You will also be shown how get creative and experiment with various adjustment layers.

TIP #'s 4, 5, & 6 MAMA'S MAKEOVER
Part 1 will get you started using my Powder Action and applying other glamour retouching techniques. Click the Products Link on the main page of photoshopmama.net to get the Powder Action. But you don't need it to benefit from the other techniques of masking and using Curves for this series. Part 2 focus on document navigation, more eye enhancements, blush, lipstick and editing existing adjustment layers. Part 3 will wrap up this Mama's Makeover project, and focus on sharpening, adjusting temperature, contrast, and saturation. Saving the layered working file and repurposing a flattened duplicate for a target crop size, and resolution for print.

TIP #7 MAMA'S MAKEOVER II
In this series I will "assign" the ColorMatch profile to a duplicate image and convert it back to sRGB. Review some basic navigation. Investigate the inside of the Action a little further. I'll also show you how to blow out the background seamless, dye hair and more!

In this 10-part video series, I show how to apply the Powder w/ager sharpen action and will begin to show you some more advanced features of masking.
I've got a new image which you can download to practice with and I'll be showing some other advanced features of working with masks, such as "rubylith" mode and "quick mask" mode.
Also on this go round, I will be using the Levels adjustment layers rather than curves, so that you can see how to mix color in this type of adjustment.

TIP #10 SELECTIVELY COLORIZE AN IMAGE

Learn one very simple way, using the mask of the Black & White Gradient Map Adjustment layer to conceal or reveal parts of the image in color and other parts as a black and white version.
